Release form and composition
The medicine is produced in the form of homeopathic drops and sublingual tablets.
Each Aflubin tablet contains:
- 37.2 mg of aconite (Aconitum) D6;
- 37.2 mg bryonia dioica (Bryonia) D6;
- 37.2 mg of iron phosphate (Ferrumphosphoricum) D12;
- 37.2 mg of lactic acid (Acidumsarcolacticum) D12;
- 3.6 mg gentian (Gentiana) D1;
- Auxiliary components: potato starch, lactose monohydrate and magnesium stearate.
12 tablets are sold. in blister packs packed in cartons.
Indications for use
As indicated in the instructions to Aflubin, the use of this homeopathic remedy is advisable when:
- Prevention (elective and emergency) and symptomatic treatment of influenza, parainfluenza and other acute respiratory diseases;
- The treatment of rheumatic and inflammatory diseases involving articular pain.
Contraindications
According to medical reviews, the use of Aflubin is contraindicated in only one case – in the presence of hypersensitivity to any component of the drug.
Depending on the epidemiological and clinical situation, Aflubin can be prescribed during pregnancy and lactation.
Dosing and Administration
Regardless of the type of disease, the dosage of the drug is the same, only the frequency and duration of use differ.
So, Aflubin, according to the instructions prescribed in these dosages:
- Infants up to 1 year old – 1 drop or 1/2 tablet;
- Children from one year to 12 years old – 5 drops or 1/2 tablets;
- Adolescents from 12 years and adults – 10 drops or 1 tablet.
With influenza and acute respiratory infections in the first two days of the disease, you can take the drug up to 8 times a day, then three times a day. The course of treatment is 5-10 days.
For routine prevention of influenza, Aflubin is recommended to apply at the beginning of the cold season or about one month before the expected annual peak in incidence. Take the drug in similar dosages as indicated above, only twice a day for 3 weeks.
After severe hypothermia or contact with a sick person, Aflubin can be taken for emergency prevention of acute respiratory infections or flu. The frequency of admission – twice a day for two days.
For the treatment of rheumatic and inflammatory diseases involving articular pain, the drug is taken from 3 to 8 times a day in the first two days of treatment, then three times a day for one month.
In the first 1-2 days of treatment and in cases where it is necessary to alleviate the symptoms of the disease as soon as possible, Af-Depth is allowed to be applied every 30-60 minutes, 8-10 drops, but not more than 8 times a day. As soon as there is an improvement in the condition, they switch to a three-time administration of the drug.
It is recommended to take Aflubin 30 minutes before meals or 1 hour after meals. Drops drink, holding for some time in the mouth, if necessary, they can be diluted in 1 tablespoon of water. Tablets are taken sublingually, i.e. put under the tongue until completely dissolved. Small children under 1 year old 1/2 tablets can be crushed and dissolved in 1 tsp. breast milk or water.
Side effects
Numerous reviews of patients who took Aflubin or gave it to their children indicate that in the vast majority of cases this drug is well tolerated and does not have any side effects if the dosage regimen recommended by the instructions or the doctor is observed. In rare cases, complaints of increased salivation are received, which is not a reason to discontinue the medication.
In the presence of hypersensitivity or individual intolerance to one or another component of Af-depth, allergic reactions may develop.
