Fenistil gel contains an active substance that belongs to a group of drugs called antihistamines. It is used to alleviate skin allergies and reduce itching of various origins. Fenistil Gel is used to reduce itching caused by skin reactions such as rashes, hives, insect bites, sunburns, and superficial burns. Fenistil gel reduces itching by blocking the action of histamine. Histamine is a substance released during an allergic reaction in the body. Since the gel is well absorbed into the skin, it relieves itching and skin irritation in a few minutes. Fenistil gel also has a local anesthetic effect.
Active substance dimethindene maleate. 1 g of gel contains 1 mg of dimethindene maleate (Dimethindene maleas).
