This medicine contains an antispasmodic and a silicone dressing. The antispasmodic relaxes the muscles of the digestive tract and bile ducts; the silicone dressing protects the digestive tract by covering it with a film that isolates it from its contents.
It is used in the symptomatic treatment of chronic intestinal disorders, particularly with abdominal bloating.
Alverine citrate, simethicone.
Each capsule contains alverine citrate 60 mg and simethicone 300 mg.
Excipients/Inactive Ingredients: Gelatin, glycerol, titanium dioxide (E171).
Pharmacotherapeutic Class: Musculotropic antispasmodic/antiflatulent. (A: Digestive tract and metabolism).
MeteoSpasmyl is recommended for the symptomatic treatment of painful digestion with gastrointestinal distention.
Adults: One capsule 2 to 3 times a day.
Administration: Oral use.
Take at the beginning of meals.
In case of overdose, consult the physician.
Do not use MeteoSpasmyl in case of history of allergic reaction to or intolerance of alverine or other MeteoSpasmyl ingredients.
Do not use MeteoSpasmyl during pregnancy.
If patient finds out that she is pregnancy during treatment, consult the physician to determine necessary treatment.
Avoid using MeteoSpasmyl during breast-feeding.
During pregnancy and lactation. It is generally recommended to systemically seek advice from physician or pharmacist before taking MeteoSpasmyl.
Like any other active product, MeteoSpasmyl can cause more or less unpleasant side-effects to some people: Rare cases of urticuria, ocassionally with laryngeal oedema, shock; rare cases of liver changes, which reverses after discontinuation of treatment.
In order to avoid any potential interactions between several medications, patient must systematically inform the physician or pharmacist of all other current treatments.
