The active ingredient in the medicinal product Troxevasin is troxerutin. Troxerutin strengthens the walls of blood vessels (capillaries). Used to relieve swelling and associated chronic venous insufficiency symptoms (fatigue, heaviness, swelling, pain and stiffness, numbness and tingling in the legs in pain after sclerotherapy or long travel) and to relieve pain and swelling of traumatic origin as a sprain or muscle injury.
Do not use Troxevasin:
if you are allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of Troxevasin.
Warnings and Precautions
Troxevasin Gel should not be applied to mucous membranes, open wounds and eczema.
How to use
Always use Troxevasin exactly as described in this leaflet. If you’re not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Apply externally twice daily. The gel is rubbed with light massage movements until complete absorption. If necessary, can be applied under tight or elastic bandage. In more severe cases, it is recommended that a combination therapy with Troxevasin capsules.
If you take more than the amount Troxevasin
Ingestion of large amounts necessary to implement joint measures for removal from the body (emetic agents) and symptomatic treatment.
If you missed spreads, apply it at the next regular intake without increasing the dose.

Other medicines and Troxevasin
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, you have recently taken or might take any other medicines. No evidence of drug interactions.
Troxevasin with food, drinks and alcohol
There are no restrictions regarding use and intake of foods and beverages.
Pregnancy, lactation and fertility
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, you think you may be pregnant or planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. No evidence of adverse effects on fetal and neonatal using the product.
Driving and using machines
It does not affect the ability to drive and use machines.
Troxevasin contains benzalkonium chloride
Benzalkonium chloride is irritant and may cause skin reactions.
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
After applying the gel Troxevasin rarely observed reactions of skin irritation – redness, itching, skin rashes. They disappear rapidly after discontinuation.
If any of the side effects gets serious, or you notice other effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.
The active substance in 1 gr of gel is troxerutin (troxerutin) 20 mg.
Other ingredients are: carbomer, disodium edetate, benzalkonium chloride, trolamine, purified water.
How to store Troxevasin
Keep out of reach of children.
At temperatures below 25 ° C. Do not freeze!
Do not use Troxevasin after the expiry date stated on the packaging. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. Shelf life after first opening: 6 months.
Do not dispose of medications in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer use. These measures will help to protect the environment.
